Igniting the Joy of Learning: How Preschool Teachers Use Play-Based Learning

Preschool is a magical time filled with wonder, curiosity, and boundless energy. At the heart of Snapdragon’s vibrant learning environment is play-based learning, a powerful approach that keeps young students engaged, excited, and eager to explore. Our teachers understand the immense value of play and utilize it as a key tool to ignite the joy of learning in our classrooms.

Play-based learning allows children to actively participate in their own education, making learning a fun and interactive experience.
Through play, preschoolers engage their senses, develop their creativity, and build essential skills across various domains. Whether it’s building with blocks, engaging in dramatic play, or exploring sensory materials, play-based learning provides a rich and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
By incorporating play into the curriculum, our teachers tap into children’s natural curiosity and foster a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.

Play-based learning promotes social and emotional development.
As children engage in cooperative play, they learn to communicate, negotiate, and collaborate with their peers. They develop important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and problem-solving. Through play, preschoolers also explore and express their emotions, building self-awareness and emotional intelligence.

Play-based learning allows for individualized instruction and differentiation.
Teachers observe and assess children’s play, identifying their strengths, interests, and areas for growth. They can then tailor their teaching strategies and provide targeted support to meet each child’s unique needs. This personalized approach ensures that every child is actively engaged and challenged at their own level.

Come see the Snapdragon difference, as your child joins in on daily adventures that spark imagination, communication and fun!
